SharePoint & Web Application Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive SharePoint & Web Application Support Engineer to provide L2/L3 support for on‑premise SharePoint environments and .NET‑based web applications. The role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and collaboration with development and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for SharePoint On‑Prem (2013/2016/2019) and custom .NET web applications.
• Monitor, maintain and resolve issues related to SharePoint sites, web parts, workflows, and content databases.
• Perform minor code fixes in C# or VB.NET and manage application deployments.
• Handle incidents, service requests and change requests using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
• Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams for performance optimisation and root‑cause analysis.
• Prepare detailed RCA reports and maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles.
• Participate in patching, upgrades and regular maintenance schedules for supported applications.
• Engage with end‑users and business stakeholders to understand and resolve their issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting SharePoint On‑Prem and ASP.NET applications.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL/ITSM processes and incident, problem and change management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Experience working with Middle‑East clients is a strong plus.

Required skills

• SharePoint 2013/2016/2019 administration.
• PowerShell scripting for SharePoint.
• IIS and SQL Server administration.
• .NET Framework, C# and VB.NET troubleshooting.
• ServiceNow or BMC Remedy ITSM tools.
• Active Directory, DNS and SSL certificate management.
• ITIL Foundation certification (optional).
