Site Engineer – Roads, Bridges & Infrastructure

About the role

The Site Engineer will oversee daily construction activities for road, bridge, highway and related infrastructure projects, ensuring work aligns with approved drawings, specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily site operations for roads, bridges, highways and other infrastructure works.
• Review approved drawings, method statements and technical specifications before commencing activities.
• Monitor contractor performance, enforce compliance with plans, quality and safety requirements.
• Inspect earthworks, subgrade, asphalt, concrete, drainage, utilities and structural elements.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, surveyors, inspectors and project team members.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and document site issues, delays and quality concerns.
• Verify completed work and quantities against drawings and project requirements.
• Ensure materials meet approved specifications and quality standards.
• Attend site meetings, follow up on inspection requests and corrective actions, and maintain accurate site records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in road, bridge, highway or infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in construction supervision or site execution.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with quality, safety and site inspection requirements.
• Good communication, coordination and reporting abilities.
• Experience in GCC or Saudi Arabia projects is preferred.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers is a plus.
