Software Engineer – Fraud Detection Platform

About the role

Rasēd is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build and maintain the backend services that power its real‑time fraud‑detection and risk‑decisioning platform for financial institutions. The role is based in Riyadh and works closely with data‑science, product and compliance teams to turn fraud models and AML/KYC rules into production‑ready services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs for fraud‑detection, transaction‑monitoring and risk‑scoring workflows.
• Write reliable, testable and scalable code using Java or .NET and follow modern development and code‑review practices.
• Collaborate with data‑science, product and compliance teams to translate fraud models, AML/KYC rules and risk policies into production services.
• Design and maintain data architectures, including pipelines, databases and messaging systems, to support high‑volume financial transactions.
• Integrate third‑party AML/KYC, sanctions screening and internal risk tools into the Rasēd ecosystem.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting to ensure high availability and fast incident response.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions and architecture decisions.
• Work with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements, deliver solutions and support production deployments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• 2–5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in at least one modern backend language (Java or .NET).
• Experience building RESTful APIs or microservices.
• Hands‑on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP or OCI), containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
