Structural Engineer – Construction Supervision

About the role

The Structural Engineer will supervise and monitor structural construction activities on large‑scale building and hospitality projects, ensuring compliance with designs, specifications, codes, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect foundations, retaining structures, concrete, steel, and building frameworks to verify adherence to approved methodologies.
• Monitor site workmanship, witness material inspections and testing, and resolve structural issues promptly.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, and technical proposals for compliance with design intent.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, quantity surveyors, and construction teams to manage design‑construction interfaces.
• Support value‑engineering assessments and provide technical recommendations for site challenges.
• Ensure construction activities follow quality plans, verify material test reports, and manage non‑conformities.
• Conduct regular site inspections, track progress against schedules, and maintain accurate records of completed works.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and project managers in progress and technical meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising structural works on large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and quality assurance procedures.
• Ability to interpret and review technical documentation and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
