Supply Chain Manager

About the role

Saudi Gold Refinery (SGR), a mining and precious-metals company specializing in gold and precious metals refining, bullion production and value-added services, is looking for a Supply Chain Manager in Riyadh. The manager oversees procurement, logistics and warehouses, optimizes inventory of critical chemicals and spare parts, and reports directly to the CEO. The role requires disciplined vendor management and risk mitigation in a highly regulated environment, with strict adherence to anti-money-laundering and due diligence protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for dore bars and industrial chemicals to ensure cost-effective, reliable supply.
• Manage armored transport contracts and coordinate with Saudi Customs on the import and export of high-value goods.
• Oversee monthly reconciliations of precious metal inventories and optimize stock levels for maintenance spares.
• Evaluate supplier performance and conduct audits to verify ethical sourcing and financial stability.
• Implement digital tracking tools to improve visibility and traceability across the supply chain.
• Lead the supply chain team by setting performance goals and providing technical training on compliance protocols.
• Identify potential supply disruptions and develop contingency plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering.
• Ten years of supply chain experience in mining, construction or heavy industry.
• Proven expertise in securing logistics for high-value commodities.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Customs regulations and international trade law.
• Experience with ERP systems for inventory and procurement management.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
• Ability to lead teams in a 24/7 industrial environment.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration.
• CSCP or CPIM certification from ASCM.

Success metrics include inventory reconciliation accuracy above 98%, shorter procurement lead times for critical chemicals, end-to-end digital tracking of metal flows, a 5% cost reduction in indirect material spend, qualified backup suppliers and full compliance with KYC and AML checks for new vendors.
