Sustaining Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Sustaining Engineer to join the manufacturing unit of a leading Oil & Gas company in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on maintaining product performance, resolving field issues, and driving continuous improvement across the production line.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve manufacturing and customer‑reported issues through non‑conformance evaluation and root‑cause analysis.
• Process engineering change orders (ECOs), update CAD models, and revise assembly procedures.
• Identify and qualify replacement parts for obsolete components to ensure production continuity.
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, including Bills of Materials and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams as a technical liaison.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5+ years of hands‑on experience in product design, sustaining, or related engineering roles.
• Strong troubleshooting and decision‑making abilities.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with suppliers and internal teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., CreoSE).
• Experience using PLM systems.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations.
• Competence in creating and maintaining technical documentation such as BOMs.
• Hands‑on experience with design engineering drawings.
