Tender Manager

About the role

AstraZeneca is recruiting a Tender Manager in Riyadh to manage the end-to-end process of tender submissions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maximising the company's chances of securing government contracts. The role works closely with sales, marketing, regulatory affairs and supply chain teams. Only applications from candidates based in KSA will be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse tender requirements for pharmaceutical products and develop, coordinate and submit tender documents on time, while maintaining a tender tracking system.
• Identify and evaluate tender opportunities locally and internationally, assess their feasibility and profitability, and align tender strategy with company objectives.
• Prepare technical proposals, pricing schedules and certifications, and keep a library of pre-qualification documents and tender responses.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, regulatory and finance teams, and liaise with suppliers, distributors and regulatory bodies.
• Identify risks, analyse feedback from unsuccessful bids and follow up on contract negotiations and execution after a tender is won.

Required profile

• Internal applicants: public business experience is a must, minimum 3 years at AstraZeneca.
• External applicants: tender management experience is a must, minimum 3 years in pharmaceutical industries, minimum 1 year in key account management in pharma.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance, excellent communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to travel as required; fluency in English is an advantage.
