Tender Risk Advisor

About the role

Albawani is seeking an experienced Tender Risk Advisor to support its tendering process. You will identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with bids, contracts, and commercial proposals, ensuring alignment with the company’s risk appetite and governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, contracts, and commercial proposals to pinpoint financial, legal, operational, and compliance risks.
• Assess contractual obligations, exposure levels, and conduct partner due diligence, including joint‑venture risk evaluation.
• Maintain and improve tender risk tools and a centralized risk register.
• Develop mitigation strategies, risk allocation models, and recommend contractual amendments and protective clauses.
• Advise commercial teams on contingencies, guarantees, bonds, and insurance coverage.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Procurement, and Technical teams to align risk positions with internal policies.
• Facilitate risk review meetings before submission deadlines and prepare structured risk assessment reports.
• Present findings to management and risk committees, escalating high‑risk items per the authority matrix.

Required profile

• 15–18 years of experience in tender management, contract risk review, or commercial risk advisory.
• Strong understanding of contract law principles and commercial risk allocation.
• Experience on large‑scale construction, engineering, energy, or industrial projects.
• Background working within structured governance and delegation of authority frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Professional certification such as Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) is an advantage.
