Testing & Commissioning Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Testing & Commissioning Engineer to join Alfanar Projects and support the commissioning of power plant and substation equipment. The role involves planning, executing and documenting functional tests to ensure safe and reliable operation before hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update test reports, record non‑conformances and corrective actions.
• Conduct functional testing of relays, switchgear, transformers and other substation equipment according to defined procedures.
• Coordinate testing activities during customer inspections and resolve technical issues on‑site.
• Review design documents and provide technical support prior to release.
• Drive continuous improvement by initiating corrective and preventive actions and maintaining related records.
• Lead and train junior team members, delegating tasks to maintain morale and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company policies throughout testing and commissioning.
• Report progress, deviations and results to management in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 0‑2 years of experience in testing, commissioning or related electrical projects.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical findings.
