Transport Coordinator

About the role

The Transport Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the company’s transport operations to ensure timely and safe delivery of products, live birds, feed, and materials while complying with food safety and biosecurity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily trips and routes for refrigerated trucks, live bird transport, feed trucks, and distribution vehicles.
• Assign drivers and vehicles, monitor execution via GPS/telematics, and address delays or incidents.
• Maintain cold chain integrity by ensuring refrigerated vehicles keep required temperatures.
• Coordinate loading and delivery schedules with production, sales, warehouses, and farms.
• Monitor preventive maintenance, fuel consumption, mileage, and trip costs, producing daily and monthly reports.
• Keep vehicle documents, insurance, registrations, and driver licenses up to date.
• Enforce safety, traffic, and biosecurity procedures and handle violations or accidents.
