Verification and Validation Engineer

About the role

The Verification and Validation Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer and Head of Engineering, supporting system verification and validation for a large security system throughout its lifecycle. The position is based in Riyadh with frequent travel across Saudi Arabia and occasional international trips.

Key responsibilities

• Drive verification activities within development teams and ensure release of software features.
• Support test campaigns for customer acceptance events and prepare test documentation such as procedures, problem reports, and test reports.
• Perform system‑level V&V activities including load, stress and performance testing.
• Use tools like DOORS, Jira and Quality Center for test management, bug tracking and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, IT or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in verification and validation of systems, familiar with INCOSE and international systems engineering standards.
• Experience writing test procedures and detailed planning of work deliverables.
• Ability to work in a customer‑oriented environment and adapt to Saudi cultural context.

Required skills

• Test management tools: IBM DOORS, Jira, Quality Center.
• Technical domains: networking, storage, server, virtualization, system/network administration.
• ISTQB certification (or equivalent) and optionally PMP.
