Vice President Projects (Technical Affairs)

About the role

The Vice President Projects (Technical Affairs) leads the planning, development, execution and governance of the organization’s capital projects portfolio. Reporting to the CEO/COO, the role ensures that all technical, engineering, design and construction activities are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in line with regulatory and best‑practice standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project delivery strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead technical affairs and project management across all capital development and infrastructure initiatives.
• Establish and enforce project governance frameworks, policies, standards and controls.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle from feasibility to handover, ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality compliance.
• Direct all engineering disciplines – civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and infrastructure works.
• Manage relationships with government authorities, regulators, consultants, contractors and strategic partners.
• Develop and monitor annual project budgets and capital expenditure plans.
• Drive innovation through modern construction technologies and digital engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Executive‑level experience leading large‑scale capital projects.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of project governance, risk management and quality assurance.
• Experience interacting with government authorities and regulatory bodies.
