Water Treatment & Utilities Technician - KSA

About the role

APEX Pharma is looking for an experienced Water Treatment & Utilities Technician to join its pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting water treatment and utility systems while ensuring strict compliance with GMP, safety, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain pharmaceutical water treatment systems, including Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Thermocompressor units.
• Perform routine monitoring, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to guarantee continuous operation.
• Execute chemical treatment procedures for chilled water networks, water treatment stations, and boilers.
• Monitor and maintain boilers and air compressors to ensure optimal performance.
• Operate and service various water pumps throughout the facility.
• Follow up on calibration activities for engineering utilities such as water treatment systems, boilers, and air compressors.
• Record periodic readings, prepare maintenance and operation reports, and submit them to the Engineering Manager.
• Ensure all activities comply with GMP, quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Support inspection readiness and maintain proper documentation for all systems.

Required profile

• Technical qualification (Industrial Technical Diploma or equivalent).
• Minimum 7 years of experience operating and maintaining water treatment systems in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Proven hands‑on experience with RO and Thermocompressor systems.
• Practical knowledge of chemical treatment for chilled water, water stations, and boilers.
• Experience monitoring and maintaining boilers, air compressors, and water pumps.
• Familiarity with calibration follow‑up for utility systems.
• Ability to prepare detailed maintenance reports and maintain accurate operational records.
