Wrapping Operator - Paper Mill

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a Wrapping Operator for a paper mill in Jeddah. The operator packs and wraps paper rolls to protect them during storage and shipment, and runs a wrapping machine unit according to standard operating procedures and approved safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Pack and wrap paper rolls to protect them from damage during storage or shipment.
• Operate the wrapping machine in line with standard operating procedures and safety procedures to meet production targets.
• Monitor system performance and, under the combiner supervisor's direction, adjust calibrations and settings to synchronise unit stages, improve throughput and minimise downtime.
• Troubleshoot routine defects in rolls coming from the previous unit and recalibrate settings; escalate serious malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Use the wrapping software to enter data according to the production order and print reports by the end of the shift.
• Report malfunctions and carry out minor maintenance to extend asset life.
• Keep the workplace clean and follow occupational health and safety procedures.

Required profile

• High school education, preferably with 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Basic level English.
• Strong knowledge of the equipment and processes of the related work area.
