About the role
The Business Development Officer will drive revenue growth by managing the full commercial lifecycle—from prospecting and lead qualification to solution selling, negotiation, and long‑term account management. Acting as a trusted advisor and strategic account leader, the role blends lead generation with sales execution to build lasting client partnerships.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct market research, target ideal accounts, and generate leads through outreach, campaigns, events, and referrals.
- Initiate first‑contact calls and meetings, profile client challenges, and position the organization as a strategic partner.
- Lead the drafting of tailored technical proposals, coordinate financial costing, and manage internal approvals.
- Negotiate contracts, protect profitability, and drive deal closure while updating CRM/ERP stages with justification.
- Facilitate smooth handover to delivery teams, participate in client onboarding, and maintain ongoing relationships for cross‑selling, renewals, and satisfaction.
- Ensure accurate and complete reporting of all sales activities in the CRM.
Required profile
- Commercially driven relationship builder with a proven ability to manage the entire sales lifecycle.
- Strong analytical mindset to understand client needs and craft tailored solutions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on long‑term partnership development.
- Detail‑oriented and accountable for accurate CRM data and pipeline management.
Required skills
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Familiarity with ERP platforms for deal tracking and reporting
