Chief Projects Officer – Real Estate

About the role

We are looking for a senior executive to lead construction delivery, engineering execution and programme controls across our real‑estate portfolio. The Chief Projects Officer will own the full project lifecycle from concept through commercial launch, ensuring assets are built on time, within budget and to the highest engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct on‑site construction operations, site logistics and contractor performance for all active developments and master‑plan projects.
• Manage Project Management Consultants, supervision consultants and Tier‑1 contractors, enforcing schedule adherence and productivity targets.
• Implement advanced project controls such as Earned Value Management, Critical Path Method scheduling, cash‑flow S‑curves and weekly look‑ahead plans.
• Lead constructability reviews, value engineering and modern methods of construction including modular, precast and BIM (4D/5D) integration.
• Enforce zero‑tolerance HSE policies and robust QA/QC regimes to eliminate rework and defects.
• Oversee commercial contractor administration, progress billings, variations, change orders and FIDIC contract compliance.
• Steer technical design translation, secure municipal and statutory permits and align engineering deliverables with off‑plan sales requirements.
• Define procurement strategy, pre‑qualify contractors, manage tendering and contract award processes.
• Synchronise construction milestones with sales launches, testing, commissioning, hand‑over and asset transition to facilities management.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in large‑scale real‑estate or construction projects.
• Strong track record of delivering multi‑million‑dollar developments on schedule and budget.
• Deep knowledge of construction contracts, especially FIDIC, and commercial administration.
• Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams including engineering, permitting, sales and facilities management.
