Consultant – Corporate Venture Capital

About the role

Elm is seeking a Consultant to support its Corporate Venture Capital activities. The role will identify, evaluate, and manage strategic investment opportunities that align with Elm’s business objectives and innovation priorities, contributing both strategic and financial value.

Key responsibilities

• Develop investment theses and conduct market, technology, and competitive analysis to guide investment strategy.
• Source and evaluate startup and venture opportunities, performing preliminary screening and business model assessment.
• Prepare investment cases, financial models, and strategic assessments for review and approval.
• Coordinate commercial, operational, financial, and technical due diligence and assess associated risks.
• Support transaction execution, working with engineering and technical teams to ensure alignment with design intent.
• Manage relationships with portfolio companies, monitor performance, and facilitate engagement with internal stakeholders.
• Align stakeholders across business units and foster ecosystem partnerships to position Elm as a preferred innovation partner.
• Prepare performance reports, track portfolio metrics, and support continuous improvement of reporting practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Information Technology, Entrepreneurship or a related discipline.
• 4–6 years of experience in Venture Capital, Corporate Venture Capital, Investment Analysis, Strategy, Corporate Development, or Innovation.
