Consultant Endocrinologist

About the role

The Consultant Endocrinologist will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care within NMC Hospitals and Clinics, ensuring adherence to evidence‑based medicine, professional ethics and Saudi health regulations. The role involves leading the endocrinology department, driving quality improvement and mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality medical treatment to patients, conducting ward rounds and multidisciplinary treatment planning.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures specific to endocrinology.
• Assess, refer and coordinate patient care with other facilities as needed.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, emergency response and departmental quality initiatives.
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records while upholding patient confidentiality.
• Supervise and train junior doctors, nurses and technicians.
• Engage in continuous medical education, research, case reporting and professional conferences.

Required profile

• Board‑certified endocrinology specialist with full clinical privileges.
• Extensive experience in inpatient and outpatient endocrine care.
• Knowledge of Saudi Ministry of Health regulations, CBAHI/JCI standards and hospital bylaws.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to improve departmental performance.
• Commitment to ongoing education and research activities.

• Proficiency in patient assessment, documentation and multidisciplinary coordination.
