Director - Hospitality Design Management

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Director of Hospitality Design Management to lead the design of complex hospitality assets from concept through delivery. You will translate vision into distinctive, commercially viable, and buildable outcomes while ensuring alignment with guest experience, asset positioning, and the overarching Qiddiya objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design management of hospitality assets from early briefs to final delivery, ensuring alignment with guest experience and Qiddiya’s vision.
• Direct and coordinate design decision‑making across projects, guiding key choices to meet operational functionality and long‑term asset value.
• Manage consultant teams and operator coordination to deliver integrated, buildable, and commercially viable design solutions.
• Oversee design development across all stages, maintaining scope, deliverables, programme, and approval requirements.
• Drive design quality across architecture, interiors, landscape, and guest touchpoints, including mock‑up rooms, materials, FF&E and OS&E.
• Ensure compliance with operator standards, technical requirements, authority regulations, and Qiddiya design standards.
• Lead design risk management and governance, influencing senior forums with clear recommendations.
• Champion innovation, benchmark against global hospitality standards, and mentor internal design teams.
• Develop and refine design management processes, systems, standards, and best practices across the hospitality portfolio.
• Promote knowledge sharing and build institutional capability across assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or a related discipline.
• Professional membership or recognised certification preferred (e.g., RIBA, AIA, RICS).
• Proven experience leading design management of complex hospitality projects.
• Ability to translate vision into commercially viable, buildable design outcomes.
• Strong understanding of guest experience, operational functionality, and long‑term asset value.
• Experience coordinating consultants and operators while ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
• Leadership and mentoring skills to develop high‑performing design teams.
