Director of People and Capabilities

About the role

The Director of People and Capabilities will join the senior leadership team of Jayasom Wellness Resort, shaping and executing people strategies that support the resort’s purpose‑driven hospitality model. This role translates the overall business strategy into actionable People, Experience & Capabilities (PEC) programs, fostering a culture of wellness, sustainability and high performance.

Key responsibilities

• Translate Jayasom’s strategy into actionable PEC programs, activities and initiatives.
• Lead the People & Capabilities department, designing structure and functions aligned with the resort’s mission.
• Oversee internal communication programs to foster collaboration, idea sharing and respect.
• Ensure all team members understand their roles, responsibilities and organizational expectations.
• Maintain effective communication with all levels of the organization and support department heads.
• Build and sustain relationships with owners, corporate office, colleagues and vendors.
• Promote an inclusive, caring and collaborative work environment.
• Participate in meetings, committees, trainings and community activities.
• Contribute to exceeding the resort’s business targets and execute projects resourcefully.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in HR, people operations or talent development, preferably in hospitality or wellness environments.
• Strong ability to align people strategies with overall business objectives.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills across all organizational levels.
• Demonstrated commitment to wellness, sustainability and an inclusive culture.
• Ability to design and implement policies, structures and operational procedures.
• Strategic thinker with a results‑oriented mindset.
