Director of Strategic Sectors

About the role

The Director of Strategic Sectors leads the design and execution of sectoral development plans for a public entity, covering a wide range of strategic and emerging industries. The role ensures that initiatives align with national priorities, sustainable development goals, and the organization’s long‑term economic vision.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a comprehensive statement of strategic development sectors.
• Develop development targets and initiatives for each strategic sector.
• Oversee sector‑specific studies and propose policies and strategies to foster growth.
• Supervise implementation of development programmes and monitor progress.
• Review periodic performance reports, assess achievements, and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with government bodies, private investors, industry stakeholders, and internal teams to strengthen partnerships and drive cross‑sector collaboration.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic planning, sector development, economic development, consulting or business leadership.
• Proven experience working with government entities, investors or industry stakeholders is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance or a related field; Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
