E2E Core and Cloud Solution Architect

About the role

As an End‑to‑End (E2E) Core and Cloud Solution Architect you will own the technical vision across Packet Core, telco cloud and related Core Network domains. You will translate customer business and technology needs into secure, scalable and commercially viable solutions that can be delivered, integrated and operated throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customer‑facing solution ownership, engaging stakeholders to capture business drivers and translate them into a clear solution vision and value proposition.
• Conduct technical workshops, architecture reviews and solution discussions, communicating choices, dependencies, risks and trade‑offs.
• Act as senior technical point of contact during presales, ensuring alignment among customers, Ericsson teams, partners and suppliers.
• Define end‑to‑end architecture for Core Network solutions, producing high‑ and low‑level designs, interface specifications and deployment models.
• Design and shape cloud‑native solutions using micro‑services, containers, Kubernetes, CNFs/VNFs, CaaS, automation and orchestration across central, regional, edge and distributed cloud environments.
• Evaluate architectural options against performance, resilience, security, operational simplicity and cost.
• Collaborate with product management, R&D, delivery and operations to maximise reuse and minimise complexity.
• Develop technically robust and commercially viable proposals in partnership with Core 3 and sales teams.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with deep expertise in Packet Core and cloud‑native architectures.
• Proven experience designing 4G EPC, 5G Core, dual‑mode 5G, and interworking solutions.
• Strong understanding of IMS, BSS/OSS, orchestration, automation, transport and security domains.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
