Pre-Sales Solution Architect

About the role

Ericsson is seeking a Pre‑Sales Solution Architect with deep expertise in Mission Critical Networks (MCN) and Push‑to‑Talk (PTT) solutions to join its Europe, Middle East and Africa market area. Reporting to the Head of Network Solutions, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, shaping secure, scalable, and commercially compelling solutions for customers across multiple domains.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end solution architecture across application, transport, access, cloud, infrastructure and core network domains.
• Design and optimise solutions for scalability, resilience, service continuity, performance and secure connectivity.
• Conduct customer engagements, workshops, demonstrations and proposal development.
• Drive cross‑functional and multi‑vendor integration, ensuring interface alignment, interoperability and end‑to‑end service assurance.
• Coordinate technical plans, dependencies, risks and mitigation actions across multiple domains.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in MCPTT architecture, standards, service workflows, group communication, dispatching and control‑room operations.
• Experience with eMBMS for efficient group and broadcast communication.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑vendor ecosystems and inter‑dependencies between MCPTT, dispatching systems, MDM platforms, core and RAN domains.
• Excellent customer‑facing communication and technical leadership skills.

Required skills

• IP networking: routing, switching, traffic engineering, QoS, redundancy, latency, isolation, back‑haul and fronthaul.
• Device ecosystem knowledge: provisioning, lifecycle management, MDM, security enforcement, application control.
• Cloud and on‑premises infrastructure: compute, storage, virtualization, containerisation, orchestration, data‑centre design, cabling and power.
• BSS integrations: Active Directory, billing, mediation, provisioning; core‑network domains such as Packet Core, DNS, APN, PCRF/QoS.
• Testing and validation tools: VIAVI, MiW, KPI validation and performance verification.
