Electrical Engineer – Construction Supervision

About the role

WSP is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its Construction Supervision team on a major infrastructure development at King Abdullah Economic City. The role involves overseeing electrical works for roads, utilities, power distribution, street lighting and telecom infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor electrical infrastructure works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
• Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, method statements and material approvals.
• Oversee installation of MV and LV power distribution networks, street lighting systems and telecom infrastructure.
• Monitor construction progress, provide technical guidance and witness testing, commissioning, energisation and hand‑over activities.
• Coordinate with utility authorities, contractors and project stakeholders, and support the Resident Engineer in planning, reporting and risk management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects, including MV/LV power distribution, street lighting and telecom infrastructure.
• Proven experience working with engineering consultants and knowledge of international electrical codes and standards.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is advantageous.
