General Practitioner - Resident Physician

About the role

The General Practitioner – Resident Physician will support the Medical Review Panel (MRP) and multidisciplinary teams in delivering high‑quality patient care within Fakeeh Care facilities. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, documentation in the EMR system, and active participation in inpatient and outpatient clinical activities.

Key responsibilities

• Interview and evaluate patients, taking detailed medical, medication, socioeconomic, psychological and functional histories.
• Document all relevant clinical information promptly in the patient’s EMR.
• Notify and discuss patient conditions with the attending physician, clarifying work‑up and management plans.
• Conduct daily rounds on assigned wards, recording findings, assessments and care plans.
• Respond to acute patient complaints, coordinate with specialists, and document management decisions.
• Justify and order advanced diagnostic tests (CT, MRI, Ultrasound) with appropriate clinical rationale.
• Provide thorough hand‑over reports at the end of each shift.
• Coordinate care among nurses, consultants, dietitians, social workers, laboratory, radiology and insurance teams.
• Complete transfer forms, discharge summaries and patient discharge instructions.
• Participate in departmental meetings, quality and patient‑safety initiatives, and continuous medical education (minimum 30 CME credits per year).

Required profile

• Medical graduate currently enrolled in a residency program.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive patient interviews and physical examinations.
• Proficiency in documenting clinical information in an EMR system.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to ongoing education and adherence to Fakeeh Care policies and procedures.
