GIS Developer – Enterprise Solutions

About the role

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise GIS development, ArcGIS Enterprise, GIS web applications, system integration, and geospatial solutions, with a proven track record in government, infrastructure, utilities, industrial cities, or smart‑city environments. This role will involve working closely with clients and stakeholders to design, develop, integrate, and optimise enterprise GIS solutions while providing technical leadership and supporting successful GIS implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance enterprise GIS web applications, portals, dashboards, and executive applications using ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, Experience Builder and Dashboards.
• Integrate GIS platforms with enterprise business systems via REST APIs, web services, databases and ensure robust architecture.
• Configure, publish, secure, troubleshoot and optimise ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, Server and Enterprise Geodatabases.
• Analyse business and technical requirements, produce solution designs, PoCs and technical documentation, and coordinate with IT, cybersecurity and other technical teams.
• Work directly with client stakeholders, troubleshoot complex GIS issues and provide guidance to developers and project teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, Geomatics, Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in GIS development and enterprise GIS environments, preferably in government, utilities, infrastructure or smart‑city projects.
• Proven experience designing and implementing GIS applications, integrations, services and enterprise solutions.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary technical teams and client stakeholders.
• Ability to coordinate GIS implementation vendors and teams (preferred).

Required skills

• ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, Server and Enterprise Geodatabases.
• ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript and ArcGIS REST API.
• Python and ArcPy for GIS automation and geoprocessing.
• SQL with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• ArcGIS Experience Builder and ArcGIS Dashboards.
• GIS integration using REST APIs, web services and enterprise applications.
• Enterprise authentication concepts (SSO, Active Directory, SSL certificates).
• High Availability, Disaster Recovery, backup/recovery and business continuity knowledge.
