Data Governance Consultant

About the role

The Data Governance Consultant will design and implement the data governance framework, operating model, and related processes for the organization. This role involves close collaboration with enterprise architecture, data strategy, and business teams to ensure data standards, quality, and visibility across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the data governance framework, operating model, roles, and responsibilities.
• Create and manage data governance process workflows and data architecture activities.
• Conduct requirement gathering, business analysis, and participate in data maturity assessments and gap analysis.
• Align data governance initiatives with enterprise architecture and overall data strategy.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure data standards and models are consistent with enterprise architecture.
• Define data governance and data quality roles, develop processes, and establish visibility of agency data assets.
• Build strong relationships with business users, provide impact‑driven analysis, and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Support the establishment and operation of data offices and manage change‑management practices throughout projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as DAMA, Informatica, or Collibra.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or related disciplines.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is highly desirable.
