About the role
The Head of Training and Development will lead the organisation’s talent development strategy, designing and overseeing learning, leadership, succession and performance initiatives that align with business objectives and enhance employee capabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive talent development and capability‑building strategy aligned with business goals.
- Conduct training needs analysis, design annual learning plans, manage budgets and oversee internal and external training programmes.
- Lead the performance management cycle, ensuring goal alignment and monitoring performance trends.
- Design and deliver leadership development, coaching, mentoring and talent acceleration programmes.
- Create and maintain succession plans, identify high‑potential talent and manage talent pipelines.
- Develop career paths, competency frameworks and support internal mobility.
- Partner with department heads, Talent Acquisition and HR Operations to identify capability gaps and present talent reports to executives.
- Ensure compliance with labour regulations, monitor training budgets and maintain accurate records.
Required profile
- Proven ability to design, implement and evaluate learning, leadership and succession initiatives.
- Strong strategic mindset with experience aligning talent development to business objectives.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, collaborating with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
- Experience managing budgets, vendor performance and compliance requirements.
