ICT Applications Developer

About the role

Jobs at this level are responsible for assisting in the design and development of circuits, systems, servers, database systems and automated infrastructure services by following standard procedures and guidelines. They also compile and report relevant statistics to support design decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform defined tests on simple circuits, systems and equipment according to standard guidelines and specifications.
• Maintain and repair existing systems and equipment under supervision of senior team members.
• Compile and analyse performance statistics of current and new STC design systems to aid higher‑level decision making.
• Ensure communication and adherence to established guidelines during deployment and implementation of IT infrastructure.
• Deploy required infrastructure and applications to support smooth day‑to‑day operations.
• Gather infrastructure and application requirements from various sectors and ensure timely delivery.
• Verify that technical specifications for implementation align with enterprise architecture design.
• Assist in tracking license utilization across all applications and support software asset governance.
• Handle tuning and optimisation of database systems in coordination with application owners.
• Maintain accurate computer records, reports and relevant databases, including RFP and vendor management data.
• Conduct predefined inspections and audits to maintain quality standards.
• Execute responsibilities consistently, ensuring compliance with standards, policies, processes and operating procedures.

Required profile

• 0–2 years of experience in circuit, system, infrastructure or applications design within the technology/telecommunication industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• Basic proficiency in data collection and analysis, reporting and project management.
• Intermediate proficiency in understanding architecture and system capacity planning and life‑cycle management.
