Junior System Administrator – Monitoring Team

About the role

As a Junior System Administrator on the Monitoring Team you will help keep products and infrastructure healthy in a remote‑first environment. You will work with Linux and Windows servers, respond to alerts, investigate issues using Grafana and Zabbix, and collaborate with a distributed international team.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor health and performance of services, handling 150–250 alerts per shift.
• Investigate alerts via Grafana dashboards, Zabbix metrics, and runbooks.
• Resolve issues when possible and escalate to senior teams as needed.
• Troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers and common infrastructure problems.
• Support primary and senior duty administrators and take ownership of primary duty shifts after onboarding.
• Collaborate with a distributed team across multiple time zones and maintain accurate operational records.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in system administration, monitoring, NOC or technical support.
• Strong command‑line skills on Linux (SSH/VPN, Bash scripting).
• Hands‑on experience with Zabbix and Grafana at the user level.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for tracking and documentation.
• Willingness to work a rotating schedule (standard 5/2 and occasional 2/2 day‑and‑night shifts).
• English proficiency at B1 level or higher.
