Lead Field Engineer - Civil

About the role

The Lead Field Engineer (Civil) will oversee contractor activities for permanent and temporary access roads, earthworks, and structures on the Expo 2030 Riyadh master‑plan. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead a team of Field Engineers, ensuring construction complies with drawings, specifications, safety, quality and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight of contractors, verifying work against drawings, specifications, ES&H plans and local regulations.
• Coordinate with engineering and other disciplines to deliver timely information, monitor schedule, cost control and change management.
• Lead on‑site technical coordination with contractors, client, and stakeholders, and ensure permits and licenses are secured before work starts.
• Review and approve contractor submittals, technical queries, change documents, drawings and as‑built records.
• Maintain effective relationships with functional departments and manage all job‑site contractual activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in large‑scale construction projects, preferably in KSA, GCC or the Middle East.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary field teams and communicate effectively with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated, independent judgment and strong ownership of project outcomes.
