Mandarin-speaking Waiter/Waitress – Luxury Resort

About the role

We are seeking a Mandarin‑speaking waiter or waitress to join the pre‑opening food and beverage team at Raffles & Fairmont Red Sea, a luxury resort in Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Project. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional service to international guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience in a sustainable, nature‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous, professional, and efficient food and beverage service, anticipating guest needs and presenting menus with detailed explanations.
• Serve and clear dishes promptly, set, clear and reset tables according to service standards, and support teammates with food running and station refills.
• Act as a liaison between Front of House and Back of House to maintain smooth service flow and follow opening/closing checklists.
• Support daily financial targets, adhere to financial handling procedures, and meet LQA, Forbes and guest satisfaction benchmarks.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, FIFO, health, safety and emergency procedures, reporting hazards as required.
• Maintain clear communication with colleagues and management, attend briefings and training, and uphold grooming and presentation standards.
• Participate in sustainability initiatives and perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Minimum 1–2 years experience in a similar waiter/waitress role, preferably within a luxury hospitality environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Fluent Mandarin speaking ability to serve Mandarin‑speaking guests.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP and FIFO standards.
• Familiarity with luxury hotel service standards such as LQA and Forbes.
