Mathematics Instructor

About the role

The Mathematics Instructor will deliver high‑quality instruction in foundational mathematics topics such as algebra, pre‑calculus, calculus, and statistics. The role supports diverse learners preparing for university‑level studies in Business, Engineering, and ICT.

Key responsibilities

• Teach fundamentals of Algebra, Pre‑Calculus, Calculus and Statistics to foundation‑year students.
• Develop and deliver clear, well‑organized lessons using contemporary teaching methods and educational technology.
• Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement of course content.
• Create an inclusive learning environment, providing scaffolding, individualized support, office hours, and pastoral care.
• Design, administer, and grade assessments, offering constructive feedback to enhance student proficiency.
• Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate mathematics instruction and maintain detailed records of student progress.
• Engage in department meetings and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field.
• Minimum two years of professional teaching experience at the university preparatory or undergraduate level.
• Strong expertise in algebra, pre‑calculus, and calculus.
• Fluency in English (written and oral) for teaching in an English‑medium environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online assessment tools.
• Experience with flipped classroom methodology.
• Experience with active learning techniques.
