Medical Science Liaison (Gastroenteritis)

About the role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will serve as the gastroenteritis scientific expert, engaging with key opinion leaders and stakeholders to discuss disease state, treatment trends, and Alfasigma’s product portfolio. The role supports the Medical Affairs strategy by gathering insights and contributing to therapeutic innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify scientific exchange needs of KOLs, investigators, and healthcare professionals.
• Build and maintain peer‑to‑peer relationships across academia, payer, and government organizations.
• Present clinical and disease state information to internal and external audiences.
• Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries and report adverse events per Alfasigma policy.
• Provide scientific support to investigators in company‑sponsored and investigator‑sponsored studies.
• Ensure compliance with SFDA regulations, the Code of Ethical Practices, and company policies.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in life sciences (Pharmacy, MD, PhD or equivalent).
• Licensure by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) as a practicing physician or pharmacist.
• Saudi national as required by SFDA regulations.
• Minimum 3 years of field MSL experience in Saudi Arabia with established scientific relationships.
