Process Control Engineer

About the role

Fluor is seeking a Process Control Engineer to lead and support engineering activities on assigned projects. The role combines technical expertise with administrative processes to deliver cost‑effective, high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Area Lead or Lead on projects, handling moderately complex engineering assignments.
• Apply Cost Competitive Execution techniques to develop total project solutions.
• Develop and review specifications and design criteria.
• Participate in equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting.
• Perform calculations, specify equipment, and solve engineering problems.
• Review vendor documentation for compliance and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze issues and provide independent recommendations aligned with project objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Accredited four‑year engineering degree (or global equivalent).
• Minimum eight years of relevant work experience.
• Professional certification or registration where required.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of local, state/province, and federal regulations.
• Detail‑oriented and able to work efficiently under time constraints.
• Preferred professional registration and technical society membership.
• Practical field experience and ability to estimate effort‑hours and forecast staffing.
• Intermediate proficiency with word processing, email, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
