Procurement Manager

About the role

The Procurement Manager will lead all purchasing activities for a medical clinic, ensuring timely availability of medical and administrative supplies, equipment, and services while maintaining quality standards and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement policies and purchasing procedures.
• Coordinate with medical and administrative departments to identify purchasing needs.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and quality.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and contracts.
• Monitor delivery schedules and verify received items meet specifications.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and regularly evaluate performance.
• Monitor inventory levels with the warehouse to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and optimise purchasing processes.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies.
• Prepare periodic procurement and inventory reports for management.
• Coordinate invoice and payment processing with finance.
• Supervise maintenance and service contracts for medical equipment when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Knowledge of medical supplies, equipment and healthcare procurement procedures.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
• Analytical, organisational and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement/inventory software.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
