Production Manager – Biotech Manufacturing

About the role

The Production Manager will oversee all site operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and high‑quality manufacturing that meets customer and pharmaceutical requirements. The role combines strategic planning, project leadership during plant construction, and continuous improvement of cost, quality, and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technology transfer, coordinating plant construction, equipment installation, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder communication.
• Direct site production activities, optimizing resource allocation, capacity planning, supply‑chain coordination, and cost control.
• Manage facility design, construction, validation, maintenance, and industrial projects while ensuring biosafety and environmental protection.
• Drive Lean Management and continuous‑improvement initiatives to eliminate waste and enhance performance.
• Develop and lead the site team, defining structure, managing budgets, fostering collaboration, and promoting employee engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, chemical engineering, biotechnology, biochemistry or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5‑10 years of experience in biotechnology industrial production (human or veterinary) with strong knowledge of GMP, quality, safety, occupational health, environmental and biosafety regulations.
• At least 5 years in a similar management position, with proven project‑management and people‑leadership experience.
• High‑level proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
