Rig Manager – Saudi Arabia

About the role

The Rig Manager will lead the safe and efficient operation of drilling rigs in Saudi Arabia, overseeing personnel, equipment, and site activities. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures compliance with health, safety, environmental legislation and H&P core values.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise rig personnel, set work priorities, schedule assignments, and evaluate performance.
• Develop and implement operating plans, manpower requirements, and programs that meet senior management decisions.
• Analyze drilling operations, recommend procedural changes, and monitor preventive maintenance of rigs and equipment.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and injuries, and prepare detailed reports.
• Plan and coordinate rig erection, dismantling, relocation, and delivery of tools, fuel, water, and supplies.
• Inspect rigs, submit condition reports, and ensure compliance with H&P safety standards.
• Serve as liaison with leased oil site operating personnel and prepare progress reports for management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PC and software such as E.A.M., H&P applications, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience with WorkDay training platforms as assigned.
