Senior Backend Developer (Tech Lead)

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Backend Developer to act as the technical lead for a large‑scale digital platform serving millions of users. The role involves owning the backend architecture, guiding a migration to modern .NET technologies, and mentoring a team of developers to deliver secure, scalable APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend architecture and RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core.
• Lead the migration from legacy .NET Framework to .NET Core/.NET 8.
• Develop scalable microservices and event‑driven solutions.
• Integrate with internal systems and external services such as Nafath and Tawakkalna.
• Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Optimize SQL Server databases, queries, and Entity Framework Core usage.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, Azure deployments, Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and maintain technical documentation.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Proven leadership or tech‑lead experience managing development teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
