Senior Legal Officer

About the role

Sidra Capital is seeking a Senior Legal Officer to provide comprehensive legal and regulatory support for its real‑estate products and investment fund structures. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with Shariah principles and Saudi CMA regulations while facilitating asset transfers and strategic legal initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including investment, joint‑venture, service, shareholder, sale‑and‑purchase, NDA and related agreements.
• Ensure all legal documents align with Sidra’s business objectives and Shariah compliance standards.
• Draft, review and amend the terms and conditions of investment funds in accordance with CMA regulations.
• Prepare and submit accurate, timely filings to regulatory authorities such as the CMA.
• Conduct legal research on real‑estate and investment activities to guarantee compliance with applicable laws.
• Collaborate with internal departments to produce legally sound and strategically aligned fund documentation.
• Manage the transfer of assets to the fund’s Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and oversee amendments to SPV bylaws.
• Coordinate with notary offices to facilitate notarisation of fund‑related transactions.
• Maintain an organised filing system for all legal documents and agreements.
• Translate legal documents between Arabic and English as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in real‑estate or investment sectors.
• Proficiency in both Arabic and English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of Shariah principles and CMA regulatory framework.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders.
