About the role
This position supports engineers in making sure that contractors' work meets quality and safety standards on overhead lines. It involves field supervision, inspections and emergency response.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with contractors to verify and check the quality of work in the field
- Assist the engineer in supervising the contractor's work on site
- Help prepare observation reports
- Inspect the route and document and report any encroachments on the right-of-way (ROW)
- Supervise third-party projects crossing the line ROW
- Perform sand removal joint estimation
- Respond immediately to line trips and supervise emergency line patrolling
- Supervise and perform ESDD and NSDD tests on line and test station insulators with the contractor
- Supervise drone inspections on site
- Carry out safety checks
