Site Construction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Construction Manager to lead the execution of a large‑scale thermal power plant (or synchronous condenser) project in Ar Rass, Saudi Arabia. The role involves overseeing the EPC contractor’s on‑site activities, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical and safety requirements, and coordinating the client’s personnel on the ground.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all site activities performed by the EPC contractor, guaranteeing adherence to specifications, schedules and quality standards.
• Verify the accuracy, methodology and timely execution of construction and commissioning tasks.
• Lead and coordinate client‑assigned staff on site, providing direction and support for effective project delivery.
• Review engineering drawings, construction methods, material inspections and QA/QC procedures.
• Manage testing, commissioning and related documentation and reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of experience on multinational, multi‑disciplinary projects, with a proven track record in constructing and commissioning large thermal power plants or synchronous condensers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of international and Saudi Arabian engineering codes, standards and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication in English and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Mechanical and Electrical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, API, DIN, VGB, EN, NFPA, HCIS, ISO, ISA, ATEX, NEC, IEC, IEEE, ACI, ANSI, ASCE, SBC, Saudi Grid Code, NCEC Environmental Regulations, AWS, ASHRAE, OSHA, UL, FM and OEM specifications.
• Project planning, material inspection, QA/QC procedures, testing and commissioning.
