Statutory and Tax Compliance Associate

About the role

The Statutory and Tax Compliance Associate ensures accurate statutory reporting, audit coordination, and tax compliance for multiple entities across the Middle‑East region. You will work closely with finance, corporate tax, and external service providers to maintain full compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file statutory financial statements and tax returns (CIT/VAT).
• Support statutory audits and tax authority reviews, acting as the primary liaison with auditors.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Perform tax and GAAP reconciliations (US GAAP to local GAAP) and forecast tax liabilities.
• Collaborate with HQ finance, corporate tax, global stakeholders, and external service providers.
• Assist business transitions, reorganisations, and ad‑hoc initiatives.
• Prepare board reporting and financial performance presentations.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and cost control.

Required profile

• CPA/CA (or equivalent) with 7–10 years of experience, including 5+ years in Big 4 audit.
• Strong expertise in IFRS and local GAAP, preferably in the Middle East.
• Experience managing complex audits, tax filings, and internal controls.
• Background in multinational, matrix organisations.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (written and oral).

Required skills

• ERP systems experience (e.g., SAP).
• Advanced MS Office proficiency.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
• CPA/CA qualification.
