Technical Superintendent – Onshore Pipeline Construction

About the role

The Onshore Technical Superintendent will lead the execution, supervision and coordination of all on‑shore works related to pipeline landfall and beach‑pull operations for Subsea7 in Saudi Arabia. The role ensures that construction activities are carried out safely, meet Saudi Aramco and Subsea7 standards, and are fully aligned with offshore installation requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and control all on‑shore pipeline construction activities, including landfall works, beach‑pull preparation and associated civil works.
• Prepare sites for offshore pipeline pull‑in by managing access roads, working platforms, lay‑down areas and temporary facilities.
• Coordinate beach‑pull corridors, winch pads, anchor foundations and verify alignment, elevations and tolerances.
• Act as the primary on‑shore focal point for subcontractors, monitoring scope, schedule, HSE compliance and productivity.
• Interface with Offshore Superintendent, marine spread, engineering, HSE, QA/QC and environmental teams to ensure seamless permit‑to‑work and SIMOPS compliance.
• Enforce Saudi Aramco HSE requirements, lead toolbox talks and ensure implementation of JSA and risk assessments.
• Support quality control, inspections, punch‑listing and as‑built documentation.
• Provide input to construction planning, track daily progress and report to Construction Management.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience supervising on‑shore pipeline and civil construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards (SAES, SAMSS, GI) and offshore‑on‑shore interface requirements.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams.
