HDD Head

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced HDD Head to lead all Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) activities across its Oil & Gas projects in Saudi Arabia. The role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and performance monitoring of HDD crossings while ensuring safety, cost efficiency, and compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage HDD crossings for all projects.
• Implement HDD plans, procedures, and best‑practice guidelines.
• Provide guidance and training to the HDD team.
• Analyze performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely progress.
• Prepare profile designs, calculation sheets, and bore plans.
• Schedule activities, plan underground tools, and optimise rock‑tool consumption.
• Coordinate mobilisation of manpower, HDD machines, and accessories.
• Liaise with Project Heads, Project Manager and client to meet project deadlines.
• Control execution costs and stay within budget.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• BE/B Tech degree.
• 20+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably in the Middle East/Saudi Arabia.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Strong technical knowledge of HDD and pipeline construction.
• Hands‑on on‑site experience in the region.
