Technical Writer – Documentation Specialist

About the role

Parsons is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to support its Center of Excellence in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and publishing high‑quality policies, procedures, and guidance documents that align with program branding and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, check, and correct document formatting according to branding guidelines, checklists, and best practices.
• Verify the accuracy of figures, tables, references, captions, and claims within documents.
• Collaborate with authors to reorganize sentences and paragraphs for better legibility, storytelling, and logical flow.
• Draft or update best‑practice templates as needed.
• Maintain a consistent style, tone, and voice throughout all documentation, adhering to the specified style guide.
• Support ad‑hoc initiatives and projects within the Center of Excellence.
• Prepare reports for committees and management updates.
• Develop guidance and manuals on proofreading and editing best practices.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and consultants to ensure timely publication of documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in editing, publishing, or drafting governance‑related policies and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering excellence.
• Excellent ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, fluid environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Experience using Adobe Acrobat (or other Adobe tools) for document preparation.
