Windows System Expert – Multi-Cloud (OCI & GCP)

About the role

The Windows System Expert will design, deploy, secure and optimise enterprise Windows workloads across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be the primary Windows SME, ensuring high availability, compliance and performance for critical services supporting the organisation’s digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and manage Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 instances on OCI and GCP.
• Maintain OS lifecycle – patching, updates, security baselines, image management and hardening.
• Administer DNS, DHCP, File Services, IIS, SMB shares, Failover Clustering and PowerShell DSC.
• Develop golden images and automate OS builds using Packer, Terraform or native cloud tooling.
• Deploy and manage Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, trust relationships and identity federation, integrating with OCI Identity Domains and GCP IAM.
• Configure cloud networking (VCN/VPC, routes, firewalls, load balancers) and storage (block volumes, file storage, snapshots, backup/restore).
• Automate tasks with PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible (Windows modules) and cloud CLIs; embed Windows automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build).
• Implement Windows hardening aligned with CIS benchmarks and NCA requirements; set up monitoring via OCI Monitoring and GCP Cloud Monitoring.
• Create runbooks, SOPs, incident‑response workflows and documentation; mentor engineers and share knowledge.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of Windows Server administration experience, with at least 5 years managing Windows workloads on OCI and/or GCP.
• Professional certifications are a plus (Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, OCI Architect Professional, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Terraform Associate, etc.).
