Accountant – Financial Operations

About the role

The Finance team is looking for a diligent Accountant to support supervisors and managers across the department. You will be responsible for preparing daily worksheets, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with payroll and fixed‑asset management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries for depreciation, accumulated depreciation, payables, receivables, and general ledger postings.
• Update personnel information for new hires, manage entitlements, deductions, and prepare payroll reports.
• Handle petty‑cash transactions, payment vouchers, and daily cash‑bank reconciliations.
• Verify customer invoices, track remittances, and prepare ageing reports for customers and suppliers.
• Check supplier invoices for accuracy, obtain approvals, and enter data into the accounting system.
• Maintain the Fixed Assets Register, calculate monthly depreciation, and record asset disposals.
• Prepare Work‑in‑Progress (WIP) reports and ensure vehicle presence in the workshop.
• Follow departmental policies, safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a General Ledger (GL) system.
