Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will support the finance team by managing day‑to‑day financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy of records, and assisting with audits and compliance throughout the year.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately record and summarize all financial transactions.
• Assist with accounts payable, payroll, receivable management, and fixed‑asset processes.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end close activities, delivering timely and precise financial reports.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Identify, investigate, and report any financial discrepancies or irregularities.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain strict accounting controls in line with company policies and procedures.
• Guide and coordinate accounting clerical staff, answering queries as needed.
• Secure financial information by completing regular database backups.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in financial auditing, bank reconciliation, and month‑end close processes.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot and resolve discrepancies.
• Familiarity with accounting standards and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with accounting staff and other finance team members.
