Accounts Payable Accountant (AP)

About the role

BRKZ, a Saudi construction-tech startup, is hiring an Accounts Payable Accountant in Riyadh. The role ensures accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments and reconciliations, working closely with procurement, operations and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify invoices, coding and posting them correctly and matching them to purchase orders, contracts and company policies
• Prepare and process vendor payments (checks, ACH transfers, wires) on time and reconcile accounts
• Reconcile vendor accounts, resolve discrepancies and support month-end closing
• Prepare monthly AP aging reports and assist with cash flow forecasting
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, IFRS standards and audit requirements, and maintain internal controls
• Work with procurement and vendors to resolve issues, and help automate AP workflows and integrate with financial systems

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, IFRS standards and internal controls
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software tools
• Analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Preferred: AP automation or system implementation experience, ZOHO Books and ZATCA requirements knowledge
